At IHS center in Islamabad employees and families can contact round the clock to seek medical advice or information. Corporate members are given personalized IDs to gain access to the help line on priority.

 

24 hr. House Call Facility

 

Through the medical help line doctors, paramedics or ambulance can be called to office or home in case of any medical emergency round the clock. Services for lab sample collection and vaccination are also available at doorstep.

Consultation at IHS clinics with medical specialists & General Physicians in Islamabad and Karachi is available with prior appointment. 4 Clinics in Islamabad cover the whole city. IHS Polyclinic & Surgery Karachi is located in the commercial area of Defense Phase II.

 

Facilitation of Medical Appointments

 

IHS manages and coordinates appointments and hospital admissions of all employees and family members. This ranges from confirming appointments, guiding and accompanying the patient, coordination of hospital admissions & discharge, etc.

 

Vaccination Services

 

All employees are assessed for their immunization requirements. IHS conducts all vaccinations and follow up on booster doses specially for Hepatitis B. The service can be availed either through IHS vaccination centers or by calling the vaccinator to your home/office. For corporate groups vaccinations can be arranged at any location in Pakistan at a one week notice. For immunizations IHS follows the recommendations of World Health Organization and FDA, USA.

 

Health Awareness

 

On preventable diseases like Hepatitis, Typhoid, etc and current issues like Dengue fever, Bird Flu, IHS provides awareness literature, and conducts on site lectures and seminars.

 

Health and Fitness Testing

 

Health and fitness testing gives your staff the opportunity to make informed decisions about their health and well being. This may include:

Pre Placement Physicals

 

At the time of hiring a new employee it is necessary to undertake a comprehensive medical examination to know the status of employee’s health and the possibilities of his or her being suffering from any disease that may become a burden on the company in future. This is also important from ergonomics point of view, as job placement should be according to the physical abilities of the employee. New employees can either be sent to IHS centers in Karachi & Islamabad or in case of bulk inductions IHS can also arrange pre-employment examinations at clients location any where in Pakistan.

Depending on the employee’s age, physical status and job requirement, periodic (usually at 1-3 year interval) examinations are conducted for detection, prevention and early correction of potential medical problem.
